Here is a nice write-up by Morena Duwe on my friend Leonardo's upcoming documentary on Assistant Directors, mentioned a few months ago (see posts below). After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Leonardo has managed to interview even more "Legends" of the trade, adding even more mystique to a documentary filled with stories about our very favorite films, directors and stars. Fresh off winning "Best Film" in two European Film Festivals, I received news a couple of days ago that our documentary "The City Under the Sea" (not to be confused with the 1965 eponymous sci-fi flick) will have its US Premiere at the Carnegie Institute for Science in Washington DC on March 29, 2015. We are excited as this venue reflects the scientific interest that goes into the endless dedication and hours invested by the filmmakers, Guy and Anita, who painstakingly and patiently wait out their "stars" underwater, to catch and film a glimpse of previously unseen behavior.
